Is the temp dip when ovulation is actually happening?

Cause my temp was low this morning and I have some pangs and I'm HOPING it's actually ovulation, but kind of peeved because I'm not sure I'll be able to get some sex in.

I had given up for this month and have only ovulated once in the past 8 months so this is frustrating!!

The above study found that only ~15% of charts display a dip in temperature that coincides with ovulation.

Hopefully it does mean that this is an ovulatory cycle for you! And even if you don't have time to have sex today - if you've had sex in the last couple days, or can work it in tomorrow - there's still a chance!

I had a dip last time though now I'm seeing it was a bit lower than this - not that that necessarily means anything.
And we haven't had sex for a few days. Meh.

Artificial insemination? Maybe you can have your hopeful-daddy-to-be have some ready for you when you get a chance to see him and go with the old-fashioned turkey baster? ;)
